Specification Writer Option Explanations
These devices, also known as safety bottom fixtures, can only be specified for High Lift or Vertical Lift applications where the bottom of the door remains in a full vertical position at all times.
On Standard lift or Low Clearance tracks these devices are prone to lock up when the door is opened all the way and the bottom fixture enters the radius of the track. Attempting to close the door could cause serious damage or injury.
