Specification Writer Option Explanations

Torsion Spring Cycles:

Most doors are counterbalanced with torsion springs, the industry standard is 10,000 cycles.  

• For extremely high usage situations other options are available such as weight counter balance.  

• When specifying high cycle springs, always remember to consider specifying the 3" Angle Mounted track, a high cycle package is only as good as its weakest link.  

• Extension type springs are are available for standard and low headroom applications.  Consult factory for additional information.
